Principal's Message

Welcome to Apollo High School!

At Apollo High School, we offer students a quality education in a safe, small, and supportive environment.  Students are provided with opportunities that promote academic achievement and character development, equipping them with the skills necessary to be responsible and productive citizens.

Though we are a continuation high school that focuses on credit recovery, Apollo High is a WASC-accredited high school with the same graduation requirements as the other high schools within the Simi Valley Unified School District.  We have been recognized as a Model Continuation High School by the California Department of Education and the California Continuation Education Association.

One of the ways in which we show our students our 4A Philosophy of accountability, acceptance, attention, and appreciation is through our numerous awards.  We have quarterly awards ceremonies where a large number of our students are recognized for academic achievement, improvement, citizenship, service, and attendance.  Teachers also nominate one student every other week to further the spirit of encouragement by awarding them the Student of the Week honor.  Finally, we have a student of the month who best demonstrates our school’s Guidelines for Student Success philosophy, CARE.  CARE stands for students who are Career-focused, Employable adults, Academic achievers, Responsible citizens, and Effective communicators.

We love to see parents, family members, and family friends involved in our students’ lives!  Parents are encouraged to participate on school committees, School Site Council, and to serve as parent volunteers.  For information, please contact our Office Manager, Karen Smith at (805) 520-6150.

At Apollo High School we strive to offer the best educational experience for your child in the safest environment possible.  If you have any questions, comments, or requests, don’t hesitate to contact me – the door is always open!  I can be reached by phone (805) 520-6150 x1505, email:, or feel free to drop by the school.
