Mission, Vision, and Goals

Apollo High School provides a safe, caring, and academically challenging environment in which students can grow academically and personally.

At Apollo High School we believe that giving respect and dignity to all students while helping them enhance their self-discipline, communication, and problem-solving skills will result in success in all areas of their lives. The best interest of the student will always be considered, taking into account his/her needs, the nature of the problem, and the health, safety, welfare, and rights of other students and staff.

Students may choose to graduate from Apollo or transfer back to the comprehensive high school.
 

Vision

Apollo High School offers students a quality education in a safe, small, and supportive environment. Opportunities and interactions are provided that promote academic achievement and character development, equipping students with the skills necessary to be responsible and productive citizens.
 

Purpose

Apollo High School:

• Prepare students to live in a changing and multi-cultural world.
• Individualizes instruction to meet a variety of needs.
• Provides a variety of opportunities for all students to learn and to be successful.
• Encourages values commonly accepted by society such as, honesty, decency, trustworthiness, flexibility, tolerance and responsibility.

Statement of Philosophy

Apollo High School provides students with a personalized instructional program. All students have the opportunity to equip themselves with the knowledge, skills, social behaviors and values required for a responsible and rewarding life in society. The school offers each student a flexible and caring environment for learning that motivates them to remain in school. The student, each with different interests and abilities, is the primary concern of the school.
